Last night at church, I sat and listened to all the requests we had from our small group of believers.
There were SO many!
We live in such a broken world! A child of 3 has leukemia, her 6 year old sister is scared to death. A really sweet lady is in the hospital... The list could go on...for HOURS! There are so many things to be praying for!
But I wonder:
As desperate as we are for God to heal and fix...what are you THANKFUL for?
I know what you mean Kelly. Seems like the list keeps getting longer and longer lately. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for a husband who works really hard to take care of us. I am thankful for my friends and church family, who are there when people really need them and are some awesome prayer warriors. And finally, I am thankful for a God who is there to answer our prayers and bless us.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for breath, for the ocean, for hope, for love and family and friends. I am thankful for music and words and pen and paper. I am super thankful for sister and brother Christians who join with me in prayer and offer support and encouragement.
ReplyDeletesending *prayers*
I whole heartedly agree with each and every thing that was said, ladies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Thank you for sharing what you're thankful for.
It breaks my heart to hear about anyone suffering, kids especially.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for the juicy watermelon I just cut open. I know my watermelon days are almost finished this year!
UGH! I know, Jill!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand the thought that summer's almost gone :(
Spring and Summer are my FAVORITE seasons.
My mouth just watered at the thought of a juicy watermelon. :)
